Red wine is said to be good for blood and has other positive health effects. At the same time, however, it is reminded that it contains alcohol and is, therefore, a poison. So what is the truth?

Benefits

In red wine, mainly in his shells, the substance resveratrol, which supposedly destroys free radicals, is contained. This facilitates cell renewal, consolidates health and prolongs life. The legitimacy of this claim is borne out by the French, who rarely suffer from cardiovascular disease, even though French cuisine does not treat animal fats in any way. It is a seeming paradox, but the negative effects of fats in the French are balanced by the beneficial effects of resveratrol. Its regular intake is ensured by the national habit of sipping red wine.

However, there are also opposing views. Some experts doubt the miraculous effects of resveratrol and prove it on surveys conducted by Italians and other nations where people are drinking red wine. At the same time, it is admitted that red wine, like bitter chocolate and other foods, can actually have a positive effect on health, but it seems to have a positive effect on the organism by another common ingredient. Their benevolence probably does not lie only in the presence of resveratrol, but also in other substances.

What else does the red wine contain?

Important is the presence of phenols that act as antioxidants and slow cell aging. Therefore, red wine has an anticancer effect and also reduces the unpleasant effects of a high calorie diet. Healthy red wine than white is better because of the higher antioxidant content. Moderate consumption of red wine increases women’s chances of consuming a baby and brings them additional positive effects after the menopause. Resveratrol and other phytoestrogenic substances replace waning sex hormones and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. In women, the fabric inhibits breast and ovarian cancer.

What wine to consume and how much

It is definitely better to prefer more expensive red wines than cheap or even boxed ones. They lack some important ingredients and, on the contrary, they can contain a large number of preservatives, which are of no benefit to our health, but rather vice versa.

As with any alcoholic drink, the principle of moderation applies. With excessive drinking, positive effects are suppressed by those with negative and cirrhosis of the liver, heart damage and other health problems. A couple of glasses of wine per day for men and one for women are considered a reasonable dose that has a positive contribution to our health.
